Macramé with Southwood Home & Garden
Just in time for you to learn to make the perfect Mother’s Day gift! At this Southwood workshop, you will learn to make four basic but essential macramé knots to complete a beginner’s level plant hanger. But don’t be fooled by the term “beginner,” the end product is a beautiful plant hanger, and no one will suspect that it’s your first one! You’ll leave the workshop with a plant, the macramé hanger, a cache pot, and written instructions so that you can create additional plant hangers on your own! Please join us on Thursday, April 25th from 6:30-8:00 pm to learn the art of macramé.

This is a step-by-step workshop. The group workshop will start at 6:30 p.m., please be ready to start on time. Doors will open 15 minutes early for check in and to select your plant and cache pot. All supplies will be provided, including:
· One 4” (pot size) plant*
· One cache pot*
· 4 mm cotton, macramé rope
· Care sheet for your plant
· How to instructions for the macramé hanger
*There will be a selection of plants and cache pots to choose from.
This is a hands-on workshop. It will be taught step-by-step. Please be aware that participants may work at various speeds. If you do not complete your plant hanger during the allotted workshop time, you will be able to set a time with the Southwood Home & Garden location at the Shops at Mother Road for assistance to finish it. Each ticket holder will complete one macramé plant hanger to take home.
The Fine Print
Macramé with Southwood will be held in the Demonstration Kitchen, inside Mother Road Market. These are the yellow doors, across from Akira Sushi & Ramen.

Mounted Staghorn Ferns with Southwood Home & Garden
Southwood is excited to offer another fun way to bring living décor into your home. The staghorn fern brings an eye-catching distinctive beauty to any room. As an epiphyte, a nonparasitic plant that grows on other plants, the staghorn fern grows naturally on the side of trees in their forested tropical habitat. By mounting a staghorn fern in its natural growing state (sideways) on a plaque of wood, you will have a living art piece to hang on your wall! Please join us on Thursday, March 28 th from 6:30-8:00 pm and learn how to mount a staghorn fern of your very own!
